Well, I don't grow too many herbs, but I do love my neighbor's Lemon Balm and also her Pineapple Sage. In my yard, I just plant them for the critters. I only have Bee Balm (love the smell), Fennel, Dill, Hyssop, Yarrow, and 2 types of Oregano. My neighbor had really great luck with her Basil last year, and I have to admit that I don't like the smell or the taste of the stuff!

I am just getting started planting herbs. Last year I had a couple of Basil plants and just loved it. I'm trying some others too this year.

Oh, I agree. Lemon verbena is fabulous! I'm going to have to get me a new one this year. I finally lost mine after years and years. The flower is considered "insignificant" but it smells wonderful!

Poliomintha is a deciduous shrub that has tiny leaves that smell like mint, and it has lavender trumpet-shaped flowers that hummers love. I have two plants in the Cement Garden, but I want more. I rooted 4 pieces last summer, but only one of them came back this spring. I was clipping it back the other day, did an oopsy, and cut the wrong stem. I am trying to root it now. I don't know why I have such a hard time rooting it, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Most people don't like it because it's deciduous.
