I tried posting this in the containers section, but it keeps showing up here. Question: Am I right or wrong in assuming that early and late blight cannot affect tomatoes grown in containers with fresh store bought potting soil? Thanks! Halime |

I planted a lot of Tomatoes in Containers, I mixed my soil but I found out that Blight is spread by bugs, wind and your hands, I may be wrong but try and we all will know for sure good luck. Oh I solarized my corn row for a month this summer and this corn looks good less bugs ? I also shall try to solarize some tomato soil this year. later GT |

Ok, Good. There are no other vegetable growers around me and I am not growing anything else at the moment because I am under stress doing other things and just cannot keep up with life.  Thanks for the tip! |

Digging in the dirt is stress free, and try pulling some weeds that helps bring my stress level back to normal, it only takes about 15 minutes pulling weeds now for me, Good luck with the tomatoes , Later GT |

Take an old pair of shorts, shirt, and socks and label them with big letters "SHIRT" "SOCKS" "Pants"(front of pants) "AZZZ"(back of pants) this may not be what some of you would do but, they don't call me Guilt Trip for nothing. Ha Ha HEE HEE, PS. and please post pictures. Oh! another thing you could do is set up a few Mirrors facing their house so they could see how much they were looking over your way, (I like this one) GT |

Come On , Let's have some fun with the neighbors, oh! try this , make a scare crow , set a chair facing their house and don't for get to add binoculars so he can watch them 24/7, I'm just warming up here hang on, put a sign in the garden that says "For a Good Time Call (###-###-####)" and let the number be (parks and recreation, local church, prison road gang department, ok how about this one "Party Store". your neighbors would love to mess with me. I bet you they would put up a 8' high fence in one month, yep that mite be a little long a month. I would say invite the to church every time you see them but you don't want them moving do you ? Let's have some Fun , GT. |
