Hi,
my Parsley is in a container and is growing very well.
Lately, the outer edges on some of some of the leaves have turned white (or very light).
I have snipped them off but it still happens to only some of the leaves.
Has anybody got any idea about what could be the problem?
Also, we are traveling in our RV (this is why I have containers) and are in Arizona. Sometimes the temps there could get as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit at night in the winter. Would I have to bring the container indoors during those times?
I don't know what time zone Phoenix might be.... Thanks in advance, Ann

Yes, bring your containers in at night - even perennial herbs won't stay green in the cold all winter, and if they freeze it's bye bye until next spring.

White-edged leaves? mine has done that late in the year before too. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I always assumed it was the end of the growing season and the mature leaves of the plants were starting to die as the plant prepared to go dormant for the winter as the weather got cooler.

I agree with Aimee--bring them in. Also remember that parsley is a biennial. You will only get two seasons out of it. As to the leaves turning white, they are just mature and probably should have been used earlier. Also are you giving it enough fertilizer? Get yourself another pot going if you can so that when the old one goes, you'll have a new one coming.

Thank you both for your advice! I will make sure and bring the containers in when it gets cold.
Yes, I always make sure that I feed them regularly. So, I guess, I better enjoy all of the Parsley before the leaves get old.
Again, I appreciate your suggestions very much. Ann
