what kind of snake is this

my wife found this snake in the drive way so she ran over it.

LOL to funny!It looks like a King snake. In your browser Type in images of snakes or king snakes or milk snakes, ect..If I see a snake I usually leave them alone, they are good pest control. Unless they go after my birds then I chase it off with a BIG stick.By the way, King snakes are immune or resistant to venom, and will eat Rattlers... Have a good day..Carol

Carol, I believe you're right about the snake's ID. Immediately I thought it was a King snake when I first saw it. Yuck! Hate snakes! Carol, you are quite brave to chase a snake like that w/ a big stick! lol! I saw one on a roadside in CO once when travelling in CO. I'm not from CO, however.
