My mother always made this. She chopped up 2 quarts green tomatoes, a couple of green peppers, sweet red peppers and onions. Sprinkle with salt- about 1/4 C for 2 quarts tomatoes-let stand overnight then drain. Add 2 C vinegar, 3 C sugar and 1/2 C pickling spices in a bag. Bring to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes. Remove spice bag. I'm sure an internet search will have a bunch of variations. |

Now I just might try this one. My aunt was trying to get me to try one with jello and celery and all kinds of stuff and I said noooooo wayyyy. Thanks for sharing. |
