I've never done that either-but it works with ornamental & flowering vines. Experiment with one. |

My last years Frost date was Dec 13, so that gives you about 40 + days but you have a somewhat shaded back yard if my thinking is right you may just cover with newspaper for a week or so and pull it off. Onions I planted some Texas 502 onion seeds, their the short day type that's what grows great in Florida. last year I planter Garnex, their the mother of the Vidalia Onion, they grew great for me but couldn't find the seeds this year locally . How about some Onion History, The Early Grano Onion was imported originally from Valencia, Spain, in 1925 under the Name Valencia Grano 9452. As indicated by Ernest Mortensen, the New Mexico Agricultural Experimental Station. The F1 Hybrid Named Garnex (later to be claimed as vidalia) released Before 1960--)One of the Most Famous Onions In The World. I Love Onions can't Ya Tell, Guilt Trip |
