One of the things I like best about GG is that I get to see how people garden in different climates. I find it totally fascinating that you can plant a fall garden. We had hard, hard frost last night. There is nothing left growing in my veggie garden and very little in my sheltered flower beds.

Yes, Ive read ? Frost, wow I have about 58 days before my first frost , according to last years date. you have an advantage over us in the south as your growing days are shorter but your plants grow off fast from what I've read. we on the other hand have to cover our lettuce and cold crops from the sun, it's been in the high 90's "98"and steamy, so you can see the house wrap and the wire hoops I use to shade, oh ! those wire whoops"concrete wire" are the same I use for my Tomatoes, when tied they make a 2' round by 6' high cage. My Fall garden is looking a lot better than my spring "we would have weather one day low to mid 90's the next low 20's the plants just could not adjust and it showed. so here's my fingers crossed fall, If I lived in the north I would build me a Green House or a Green Shed, what ever it took, Later and keep warm, and I will try to stay cool, Later GT
