Could you please help me to identify the plant? The picture is taken on Oct.4 in IL.

I think that is Golden Dew Drop. Hardy only in zones 8b or higher. You many want to plant in a large pot and overwinter inside.

Yes, Carolyn has it...Duranta repens is its botanical name.

If you taken this inside you might want to be careful as I beleive the golden berries that form on this plants are poisonous. Might want to be careful if youu have kids or pets.. Can someone confirm if I right around the berries being poisonous?

Some say yes, some say no...but better to be on the safe side.

Hearing the berries have a bitter taste, I think it's doubtful anyone would get far in eating them. Tasting might be the case more often than not.
