Can anyone identify these flowers, especally #s 1 and 9? Please be as specific as possible, thanks very much for the help ;D PS: I realize I uploaded quite a lot of photos, but I've been trying to identify these for years and figured that a place with knowledgable people would be here. I"m going to use the info for a dying friend so any help is very appreciated. Yeah, too many in one post, I got tired! One comment in general, it's good to show foliage as well as the flower for some plants when identifying them. 1. Perhaps this is Pentas. 2. Dayflower - there is an asian one and a native one, not sure which this is. 3. A type of Helianthus. 4. A Heuchera cultivar (common name is Coral Bells) 5. Agastache (common name is Hyssop) 6. Virginia Bluebells 7. ? 8. A rose. 9. Hyacinth Bean Vine (Dolichos lablab) 10. Marigold 11. Cleome, spider flower 12. A rose. 13. Crinum 14. Perhaps a coreopsis (would be good to see the foliage) 15. Hydrangea 16. ? 17. A daylily Then I got tired. Someone further down you have Polygonum virginianum, common name is Jumpseed (used to be Tovara virginiana). |

I saw succulents, cacti, sedum (Autumn Joy), roses and possibly switchgrass. Google image search will get you pictures to compare. |

I agree-Way too many at one time-Along with what has already been stated, there are camelias, kalanchoe, crocuses, orchid, sunflower, liatris, different varieties of cactus & succulents, and just on and on! |

WOW! Are you writing a book?!? When you said many pix, I thought...maybe a dozen...but SIXTY? Yeow!! I hadn't planned on playing hooky THIS long! Can you come over & do my household chores for me? Purdy please? Otherwise, there may be some dying going on here when my hubby gets home & they're not finished! I agree with most of GA_girl's ID's. I also agree with her comments on leaves being helpful for IDs. (She skipped #6, so just change the numbers...6 being 7 & so on.) Here's my take on them (saying "maybe" if I'm not sure): 1. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, Flaming Katy 2. Commelina cyanea, maybe (has larger lvs-there are many), Dayflower 3. Helianthus, no idea which 4. Huechera, Coral Bells 5. Agastache, one of many 6. Helianthus, maybe 7. Mertensia virginica, Virginia Bluebells 8. Chrysanthemum, maybe 9. Rosa, a Rose -possibly a Camellia sasanqua-I was hasty 10. Dolichos lablab, Hyacinth Bean 11. Tagetes, Marigold 12. Cleome hassleriana, Spider Flower 13. Rosa, Rose 14. Crinum asiaticum, Grand Crinum Lily 15. Coreopsis grandiflora (like 'Early Sunrise'), Tickseed or Coreopsis 16. Ampelopsis cordata, maybe 23. Rosa, Rose 24. Rosa, Rose -possibly a Camellia-need to see leaves 25. Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 26. Campanula, one of 27. Cynanchum laeve, maybe, Climbing Milkweed 28. ??? 29. Rosa, Rose 30. Polygonum virginianum, Jumpseed 31. sux bowl: 3 cactus, Haworthia, Aloe striata, Kalanchoe 32. a type of grass (no time to look) 33. Zinnia 34. May be Thalictrum aquilegifolium 35. Symphocarpos albus, maybe maybe, Snowberries 36. Sedum (like "Autumn Joy'-might have changed name to Hylotelephium 37. a type of grass (no time to look) 38. a type of grass -possibly Andropogon gerardi, Big Bluestem 39. Philodendron, maybe aps 40. Mammillaria (need at least flowers to ID) 41. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana 42. Kalanchoe luciae, Flapjacks 43. Cactus, columnar type, maybe Cleistocactus 44. Cactus 45. Cactus, maybe a Thelocactus-but hard to say 46. Ferocactus 47. Scaevola aemula, Fan Flower 48. don't know-thought similar to a Viburnum-but don't think so 49. Orchid, a Phalaenopsis 50. ??? 51. Sorry about skipping 6 - I meant to say I thought it looked like Helianthus tuberosa. Knowing the bloom times on some things also helps with identification, by the way. |

Wow. I agree with everyone on their IDs. Beautiful pictures. I believe #19 is Nicotiania Anyone else think so? Number 9 could be a rose, but it looks a lot like my Sept. charm anenome, too. (see attached photo)Taking a second look, maybe not, but very close! 39 may be a pepperomia, do you think? It looks a little to succulent to be philodendron. Attachments: ![]() |

58 is Allamanda. 19 could possibly be nicotania-Ithink 39 is a type of philodendren, too. Leaf is too heart shaped. If it was Watermelon Peperomia, it would have more defined stripes. I believe #9 is a rose, too. I have an old-timey rose that makes that flat pink flower. You can see a bud behind the flower. |
