I found some fat seed pods while walking my dogs and snatched them up, now I have a lot of hummingbird vine seeds, but couldn't seem to get them to sprout. I know it's too late now, but does anyone have any idea of a good way to sprout them? I have a passion flower on a trellis and two bare trellises that are screaming for something on them, plus I have a lot of hummingbirds in the area who would probably appreciate some HV. Any info would be appreciated! |

Around here you plant one hummingbird Vine and you have thousands the next year. Might wait until spring comes again and plant the seed. |

Try tossing some out now and let the seeds overwinter on the ground. (You can always hold some seed back to retry in spring.) If you don't have luck, I'll have a TON of seeds. Like YG said, once you get it started, it comes up ALL over. |
