A satsuma is kind of a cross between an orange and a tangerine. Smaller, thin, easy to peel skin, and sweeter. Common here in the lower south. My grandfather used to raise them to sell. We had LOTS of them! |

I envy all of you with healthy citrus trees. They are such a problem to care for down here. Looks like an excellent harvest too!I've never tried satsuma.. is it like a clementine? I LOVE clementines, but have never found a nursery here that sells them. They are like small tangerines, but with no seeds and just as sweet as a honey tangerine! |

DA-The citrus trees here have lots of problems, too. White flies is the worst. Spider mites-and then there's coons. They really need to be sprayed a few times a year-but, Petey never does! I don't know what a Clementine is-I'll have to look that up!

Clementines, tangerines and satsumas are all types of mandarin. |

WOW! THAT IS AWESOME! I recently took a trip to Europe and saw Citrus trees on the city streets of Monaco. Here in Miami, people would pick them and sell them! LOL |
