I am a goddess, I've decided. Just gone and saved ANOTHER bird in the yard and THIS TIME I actually went inside the house with bird IN HAND and GOT THE CAMERA!! Am I good or WHAT??! Same as the hummingbird in my blog, it took around a half-an-hour for the little birdie to recover ~ it's a goldfinch although losing his gold color this late in the summer. He took a good ol' knock to the head by plowing into the back door window. Luckily, I was sitting right there on the computer and leaped to the rescue. We had a good talk, he had a good rest and a decent petting. Towards the end of the half-hour, he didn't want to let go of my finger. His little head bobbed left and right as I talked to him. So I grabbed a big plume of one of my grasses (they love those seeds) and tried to get him to grab it ~ away he went. My day is made. Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |
