Good Evening, As the weather changes once again here in Michigan I find myself wondering how to store daliah bulbs. They were so beautiful this season and i would love to dig, divide and store so i may plant the same next spring. Does anyone know how to store the bulbs? do i divide before storing or just before i plant them in the spring. I sure could use your help. Thanks so much. |

I did not know degree rule either. I keep my bulbs in a dry cellar and was planning to keep my dahila tubers there. I did read one person said they put them in an insulated box in an unheated garage: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1082/is_v29 /ai_3956390/ Apparently the important thing is that the roots do not freeze. I don't have many dahlia tubers, but I am up in the air about what to do with them. |
