Hello, I am growing collards and the leaves have a black, dirt-like substance on them. I have never seen this before. I also have a major problem with whiteflies. I have used 2 types of over-the-counter sprays, but if I am lucky, the whiteflies stay away for MAYBE 2 days. I previously had a problem with blight and it almost killed my tomatoes. They are coming back now. I am growing yellow crook neck squash and although the friut is producing nicely, I have powdery mildew on the leaves. I am breaking off the bad leaves and the plant continues to grow. I am growing 3 types of peppers and they have been unaffected by any disease. It is not dirt that has been washed on the collard leaves. What can it be?? Does anybody have a recipe for getting rid of these pesky whiteflies? I literally have to spray myself with OFF! before I go in the garden or they will eat me alive!!!
