Linda, some people just wont eat veggies. Maybe you will just have to eat them by yourself. You know Daddy has alzheimers. He use to eat loads of fruit and vegs. Back in the day, his breakfast was an apple, an orange and a banana. Now, he wont eat fruit or vegs. I guess his tastes changed. GT, good for you. As for me, I am plodding on. Low fat, exercise. We shall see what the scale says Thursday. |

You are doing great work GT, and what an encouragement you are to all of us. I've been eating veggies from the garden, try not to do fast food, cook with water, olive oil, or grill, eat light, eat early dinner, exercise (not off to a good start this week, lots to do, but its only Tuesday so theres hope). I really wish I could get my hubby on board, he's fightin it, you can lead a horse to water but ya can't make him drink. So I'll keep on truckin, cause I would like to live to a ripe old age and see my daughter suffer through parenthood.......paybacks.....LOL! Take care everyone and keep up the great work! -Trinity-

Grannylee It's so good to see you!!I agree with grannylee. I wont diet but I will try to change my habits. I dont hate myself regardless of what I eat and I dont consider anything "cheating". Eating is part of life. I wont give up sweets but I will give up Little Debbies. And you know, sometimes you cant exercise. But tomorrow is always another day. WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!! |

I love The Biggest Looser, been watching it for the last 3 seasons. I don't have as much weight to loose as the contestans on that show do, but by golly if that doesn't motivate me to continue my work and push myself a bit harder. Any way we had chicken pitas for dinner with lots of veggies, it was light but filling. The brownies that I made for desert exploded so, I had a hand full of nuts, and my daughter had ice cream...lol. Actually it was the pan that exploded but brownies were everywhere. Here is to a great tomorrow, take care & God Bless! -Trinity- |

However, at that time he was not so picky. Keep on looking forward to a healthy lifestyle. |

I have watched a little of the Biggest Loser but have really enjoyed watching the Ruby show on Discovery Health channel. She brings me to tears sometimes. She has lost over all 350+ pounds, making her over 700 pounds at her highest weight. It is a remarkable journey. And here I sit wanting to lose only a few pounds. If she can do it so can I.

I've watched Ruby and last night I watched Biggest Loser for the first time ever. I will probably follow it this season but I dont like those trainers yelling and cussing. I couldnt take that myself. Tonights supper is a baked chicken, cabbage and mashed sweet potatoes. I am loving rice cakes! I found a recipe on the back of the bag. You take a caramel rice cake (no fat in that) and drizzle it with caramel, put sliced bananas on it and top it with a dab of low fat/sugar cool whip and a few nuts. Its pretty darn good. This will be my new Little Debbie substitute. It has fruit and a little protein. |

FG I thought the same thing. If those trainers yelled at me and cussed like that I would be walking out. That is just not necessary. You can motivate people without all that language.
