Anyway, she stopped drinking it and got rid of the cane in 2 weeks! That aspertame is also in sugarless gum and lots of other stuff. Check your labels.I don't drink soda anymore, and this is correct about the aspartame. I have heard of other people getting sick from drinking and eating too many items containing this stuff. I do drink decafe coffee some but have cut that down to once a day right now. I drink water. |

Should we have some sort of "check-in", what did you do today, thing? Suggestions? You know, Like, I walked 2 miles today, or I ate soup & a sandwich, or I threw out the Fritoes? |

Each individual would set their own. For example, I am not going to eat any chocolate today or I am going to walk 200 min this week. We could then check in to report how we did.... |

I'm in. Can I start it off? This week my goal is to walk 30 minutes daily with 1 lb weights in each hand. And I will start to THINK about portion control. How about eating a fruit about 30 minutes before meal time to curb appetite? |

You go FG, I am proud of you! Eat an apple or something that requires a lot of chewing, they say the more chewing you do the fuller your mind makes you feel.Kinda reverse psych. Also its good to mix up your routine a bit and add something new ever so often so that you are working different muscles. |

Anyone interested in starting a sticky on the recipes forum for maybe lower cal meals or meal ideas? One thing we are doing is cutting up our potatoes, drizzling a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper and baking. Then we sprinkle with parmasian cheese. Very low fat and who doesnt love oven fries? Munmom....tonight we had a plum for a snack before we cooked. But a crunchy apple is a good idea. |

I'm going to start walking again each day, too. As soon as I can find an umbrella-it's supposed to rain all week! |

I am still working out in the gardens. It was a real mess in this one area. Full of wild berry vines. Those things hurt. Didn't do too well on the food over the weekend but am starting over today. My sister loves to do oven fries but Don doesn't like potatoes too much any more so we don't have potatoes too often. Keep up the good work.

Count this Fat Guy In, I started at 256 Lbs. (No Gals, this is not a weigh-in at WW). Have lost 15 1/2 lbs in a little over two weeks, I'm using Guilt Trips Special Diet, "The One Inch Diet" yes this was the easiest for me , "FOOD" eat what you want but leave one inch of plate showing around the edge, No More-No Less, oh one more thing eat only one plate full, no seconds- no go backs. "Exercise" I take one walk around the block (not hurting myself you know). "Snacks" No Snacking-None-Nada. "Fruit" don't forget it, "Prayer" When you retire for the evening, It's OK to add to your prayers, by saying out loud "Good Night Fat and Goodbye" Amen Guilt Trip |

Guilt, that sounds like a plan to me. WOW over 15 pounds that is wonderful. I am going to have to cut some calories/fat. I have tried Glucerna snack bars but I think they have too much fat in them. So no more of those. More fruit and veggies (the good ones). In trying to get DH to eat I have been using too many bean/corn veggies and those have too many carbs. And frankly if is is green chances are he won't eat it, green beans sometimes. Don't know what I am going to do with him. |
