I found these "nuts". The case is almost like a small cantaloupe with multiple chestnut looking nuts inside. The leaves of the tree are simple with really small toothed edges. Can anyone identify? |

It could be a type of Buckeye. Look up pictures of Red Buckeye (Aesculus pavia) and see if that is a match. If so, the leaf itself is compound, with 5 leaflets. |
