I just started the Master Gardener's program through Purdue University here in Indiana. In our first class, we took three hours of exhaustive notes on plant science and physiology. I was amazed at how much of the material I was familiar with just from playing this game, digging for plant ID information, and learning from the rest of you. Thank you so much! |

What a great adventure for you, Aimee! Have fun! I imagine you do have a leg up on what you're learning there. I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience! I don't know if he has anything to do with the Master Gardener's program there, but my BIL is a Distinguished Professor of Horticulture there, Dr. Paul Michael Hasegawa. If you see him, please say "Hello!" for me!

I see online that your prof is a magician! Looks like you're in for a fun class! It also seems you're taking this class at a Purdue extension. Is that right? If so, Prof Caplan may not know my BIL. |

Good heavens. I've known Larry for about a year, and known of him alot longer than that 'cuz he writes a horticulture column for our local paper...But I had no Idea he was a magician. How cool is that?? He's a cool guy and super knowledgeable but he's never done anything MAGICAL for us. I'll have to take this up with him next week. Yeah, it's through Purdue Extention - the class is actually taught at the same community college where I teach culinary arts, so it's very convenient. |
