i posted this in perennials, only because i hadn't noticed this section! so, to repeat myself... i planted hummingbird and butterfly mixes in window boxes this year and they are great, and still blooming (i swear they're 'time release' because i have the same types blooming now, that had back in june and are long dried!) anyhoo...the packages said some are annuals and some perennials...they're all very light, delicate flowers so i can't quite tell 'what is seed'. should i cut each one off at the base when it's finished and shake it over a piece of paper? lol...it's the only idea i've come up with so far! any suggestions? |

You question is rather tough to answer. You have to collect seeds differently depending on the plant. Some don't set seed at all. Can you describe the plant(s) or maybe a picture of the blooms? |
