Well, I went to my compost pile to get some compost out of it and when I did there were baby bunnies underneath a layer of it. It scared the heck out of me!!
I just put the layer back on top of them.
My question is, will the momma know and abandon them since there may be a human smell there now? Should I go back and check on them in a few weeks?

There were 4 bunnies and now their are only two, they have died.
I guess the other two ran off or the momma came and got them, i dont know.
Am real sad about it but I put them in the ground next to the compost pile.
If anyone were to dig up my yard they would think that I was a cemetary...of pets. Not being flippant just saying I bury pets when they pass.

Sorry to hear about the bunnies - they may only be bunnies, but it is sad when anything passes...odd place for momma to have put them in the first place...
