Not only am I fighting some black spot on my roses (at least I think it's black spot - black spots on leaves, leaves falling off/turning brown) - but my honey dijon roses used to be these large velvety soft blooms of a creamy honey dijon-mustard color. Two weeks ago I trimmed back all stems that appeared affected by the black spot, and the blooms I just got are small, pale yellow with streaks of pink! Could the stem with these blooms be a reversion to the graft host if this was a grafted rose, as I presume it was??? Will I ever get true blooms again??

Honey Dijon is a offspring of Stainless Steel ( one of my faves) and Singing in the Rain. One possible reason could be the dominate rose taking over. It could also be, the lateness of the season. I don't know what the weather has been like there, but ours has been unusually cool, with short periods of high temps, Little or no rain, except for the past 2 or 3 weeks. All in all a real bad growing season, an especially bad one for roses....

Sass, I did have beautiful roses early in the year, when we had all the rain... I'll wait and ssee what happens next year - this rose was hit hard by winter kill...
Thanks!
