Good morning, my the pancakes smell good Herbie, you are so thoughtful to add the protein, I hadn't thought of doing that. Coffee is delicious, smells so good on these cooler mornings. Had a cake doughnut this a.m. Yesterday plums. Usually I eat an apple with peanut butter on it, which is my favorite. Oatmeal with half and half is good. Chores awaiting me. So what is everyone up to today? Thanks for the coffee and see you all later. JJ |

Hi GP !Thanks for stopping by at breakfast this morning ! I'm making dinner right now and been pretty much doing housework today. We are getting some good rain right now ! It'll help the cantaloupe and watermelons still growing in the garden ! And later, I'll have some juicy gossip in mitzilou's garden, just got to get back to cooking supper ! Later......mitzi |

Hi all---Hope everyone is enjoying their day ! GP haven't heard from you and hope all is well with you and family. Today's topic will be....What's your favorite color ? Mine is a rosy red---sorta a violet red---I guess you could say, fushia. The juicy gossip right now in mitzilou's garden is there is trouble in paradise between Herbie and Lizzie Lizzard (Hot Lips)! Seems she has had her eye on another toady-frog and Herbie is outraged to say the least ! More gossip will follow---don't tell Herbie I told you his business ! Later......mitzi |

G'Day to you Mitzylou! I miss Herbyann. and Ron. My comp was down with a serious bug for a couple of months, from February till June. Had to change address, get new e-mail software etc.Even had to re-join GG with a new I.D. Missed the dust-up that caused a lot of departures of old friends. Donno what it was all about. Anyway, life goes on. Herbyann loves silly photos of animals. I collected and e-mailed her a bunch since she couldn't cut 'n paste from GG. Lost her addy in the glitch. So in honor of her, will post a few here. Hi, wow trouble in Paradise...poor Herbie, no wonder he has an overeating problem. Oh, but I do wish he would chase out the toadie frog from Sprint. Yesterday and the afternoon before, I was not able to step in and visit. They hog the site and refused to budge. We went to see Ma yesterday. This is her birthday month, so I planted mums in front of her house, some fall decorations and a 4 foot bamboo rake that says welcome. Festive fall deco. Later in the day she was talking to us all about the "pieces of the puzzle" we couldn't see. She was super alert and very oriented. She said all the pieces of the puzzle were "in the house",but she didn't know what they were. Later she asked me what they were. I told her "your name is ...and you live in the yellow house. What color is the house in heaven, and she said "it's yellow too". I said who is waiting there, and she said "Jesus"."Now you call everyone". So I did, and 2 hours later, when all the children were there, she said "you all shake hands with everyone, all of you". After they did that she said, "now you can bury me". You can't imagine all other conversations, but she needed everyone to know she plans on leaving soon and they have to get on track and it will be ok. We all said it was o.k. to go be with her heavenly Father. So I know this is kind of a heavy early morning conversation, but today, we have a lot on our minds, as we mow the yard and do earthly chores. I have not forgotten you all either. I hope you All have the best day of your life today, and smile, it makes people wonder what you are up too. |

Good morning Herbie. Things sure look nice here in your garden. I see you keep the slugs under better control than I do. I am working on them, and their population is getting almost invisible in places. Oh, I just loved the aroma of those fly pancakes the other day. Not enough flys at my house to bake them, so I made brownies instead, lots of gooey chocolate frosting on them for us all. I fed the doves and finches some mixed seeds, they seem to like that better. I hope Mitzi is freezing some slugs for you, and not just vegees. Thank you all for your prayers for MA (mother-in law). Well, I will check in later, JJ |

Good Late Saturday Morning to all ! Herbie says Good Morning also. GP, I'm praying for your ma still. The coffee is brewed here for all who stop by anytime today, and, also, some coffee cake is fresh made ! Herbie is offering some slugs rolled in honey then covered with sunflower seeds---his own recipie---if you're feeling adventuress today---well, go ahead and sample one ! Mitzilou's garden is an explosion of blooms and thick with plants tumbling over one another, so I'm letting it go wild for the birds and creaures. Not doing any mantainance on it for the time being. I always leave the seedheads on the flowers for the wintertime to feed the birds. So, I'm just enjoying the beauty of my garden while it lasts till frosts arrives. Hope everyone out there has a wonderful day ! Later......mitzi |
