A friend told me this story; a young man lived with his mom and she had a hummer feeder that he never even noticed. One day he saw a hummer up under the eave of the little porch, it didn't seem to be able to find its way out. He decided to get a broom and use it to direct the hummer so it could fly out from under the eave to freedom. He did just that and as he was looking up did not see the hummer any more and thought his work was done. Turns out the hummer was sitting on the broom. Very likely this little bird was very tired. The young man carried the broom out to the feeder and the hummer sat there and drank until he flew away. Now this young man is watching for those hummers all the time. I think he is a hummer hero. If you have hummer stores or know hummer heros why not post their stories here. This picture had been cropped but came up full size. The hummer is in there though. Attachments:  |

Good story! I love the picture. I almost had a good story. While I was watering and hummer kept buzzing around me. I looked up to see him coming towards me, and as he passed I saw him poop. Whew, it just missed me. I thought that I was going to be able to tell everyone that I was pooped on by a hummer! |

Funny, Witt. Maybe if you go out same time, same place, he'll be able to get you next time ! HAHA
