We have a bed that has been invaded by chipmunks. They have upturned much of the soil so that the topsoil is gone and the sandy dirt is at the top. We've tried using poison peanuts in the holes we find and that has killed one or two of them, but there still seem to be more. Any effective ways to get rid of them and then how do we stop them from coming back? I want to get rid of this problem before we redo the bed and put down a weed barrier and cover with stone. We are in WI if that makes a difference--winter is coming sooner than we think! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks! |

Moles, voles and other digging critters don't like daffodils. Plant tight rings of them around anything you want to protect. Works for me. Hope it helps you. damselfly (aka gimpy2) |
