I have 3 beautiful av's, except they have flowered since I got them - is there anything special I am supposed to be doing?

AV's like to be fed when you water them. I use a liquid AV fertilizer which I mix up and water when their bottom pots are dry.

Av's also will 'sleep' every so often. Most of mine bloomed for so long this year that now they are all resting. And will begin to bloom again in a few weeks.

I also use AV fertilizer each time I water - make sure they are in good light. If they are old plants (several years) you may need to restart with a leaf, but if they are young, just be patient! Just when I think mine have given up, I get beautiful blooms!

They are either 2 or 3 years old, one even split into 2 which I repotted. After the initial blooms died they have not bloomed since. I do give them liquid fertilizer, just not every time I water. I will try it and hopefully get some blooms - thanks so much!

Do you think they are getting enough light?

sorry it took me so long to respond - they are in my office - no natural light just florescents, I did take one home the first of the month and put it where it will get indirect sunlight - no flowers yet though.
