Canning fresh beets

I would like to can up some fresh beets ( have already done the pickled ones..; I don't have a pressure cooker, does anyone know how long I can hot bath them....

If they aren't pickled then you MUST process them in a pressure canner since they are a low-acid food in order to get temperatures above the boiling point, 240°F to be exact, and sustained at that temperature for the specific period specified in the recipe.

No matter how longer you did a boiling water bath you could never get the temperature up that high.

Oh, and it is a Pressure "Canner". Pressure cookers are something else designed for cooking food only.
