If anyone knows me, they know I am a newbie at the whole gardening game. So I get on here a lot & ask all my great gardener buddies various questions. Well, today my question is how can I tell when my HOT banana peppers are ripe & ready to eat?? I have read some on the net already, a lot of what I've read says that they must turn a red color? My one plant's pepper is a reddish-orange color? Now, should it be all the way red, or is it ok for picking now? Or does it even have to be red at all? I figured I should ask you all before I started picking them.![]() Thanks in advance!!!! ![]() ~Dest~ |

You can pick it now. They can be picked before they start to turn, also. Usually when they are about 4 inches or so long |
