Do I lop off the seed heads after blooming? Does that sap the plant of energy better saved for more blooms?

This article says yes. However, I never worry about their energy or preserving their strength. I wonder more about keeping them under control.

Yes, remove the seed head unless you are wanting to try to start them from seeds. Daylilies are so easy! Taking a piece from an established plant is so much easier and quicker results.
