my indoor basil plant is getting these brown spots on its leaves the start at the veins of the leaf and spread throught it. some one please help this is my first plant i dont know what to do. Attachments: ![]() |

Your basil would probably be happier outside at this time of year. I can't tell how large yours is, but if it is big enough, take a cutting and root it to get a new one growing. Once that one gets going, root yourself another. There is a thread on here that talks about rooting basil. It's easy. You can have more basil than you can use. |

thats what i will do thanks. unfortunatly i cannot plant outside because i live in an apt. and there are tons of children that run through our yard but i just transferred my plant to a larger pot it seems as though the roots had no where else to go! thanks for the advice. |

Let us know if repotting helped and if you have any success with rooting some fresh new ones! |

so i re-potted my basil and it seems much happier i also clipped a piece and started rerooting it. but now i dont know when i can actually plant that clipping. do u know when i should replant it?
