Spiders are not really pests until they are spoted in the bathroom sink lol but I managed to take a good photo graph of a huge web put up in my fiance's garden. I am including the one's I also took in my son's garden as well but they are not as visible. I did see the spider that made it however and he/she is pretty big with a brown body. There is also a spider taking up residence on my baroge or perhaps that is the hunting grounds? As far as I am concerned they are welcomed (better there then finding one in the sink wink wink). I have read a little on the smaller garden spiders aparently a spider needs to eat at least once a day wich is kind of interesting. Have a good evening. Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Don't you love it?? The webs are SO fascinating! I never tire of seeing them! Of course, I'm still human and I absolutely hate walking through one face first, but when I can see them before I walk through them, I do stop and enjoy and then go around! I don't know how many I've seen lately -- I so take them for granted! When I lived out in the country many years ago I remember seeing their webs in the light of the sunset -- across the fields of grass, there were numerous webs one after the other, all about 10 inches or so in diameter -- like I don't know what word to use to describe them -- just amazing was all I could think. Such architects! Such opportunists! I have a regular lawn now that I keep mowed, so I don't see that so much, but I can find the smaller ones still. No, I'm not fond of the guys in the house, but my cat keeps those out of my view. She probably keeps a LOT of crawlies out of my view. GOOD FOR HER. Keep enjoying the wonder of nature and pass it on to your children. Melody[/font] |
