Hi Everyone

I have a question about wheather or not a roses color has anything to do with it's hardiness i.e. disease resistant, heat tolerance, over-all ease of care.
I am champing at the bit to add a white rose and a yellow rose from Heirloom Roses aka SALE.,... WooHoo
I can't remember where I saw it but there was a reference to either white or yellow roses being boogers to grow. I live in zone 8,i think, at the 4000ft elevation. We get 90 degrees, sometimes alittle higher but not often, and snow about 2-3ft high but the temps don't go lower than the 20's and once in a while high teens. Our house is on a ridge and faces south on the back highway to Kirkwood Ski Resort and my yard slopes downward though I have made some adjustments.
So this is what I'm dealing with and I want to be sure I don't make the wrong choice since these prices won't come again. I also have a hybrid tea rose, Lynn Anderson and one other rose bush that did quite well even in the deep snow. So I'm wondering about my choices.....Frau Karl Drischki and Morning Has Broken.
They're are the only two colors I don't have except for the blues.
Sorry this is so long.... So I've laid out my situation and I need your advice. Help?

Yellows have more of a tendency to develope black spot and powdery mildew. This is a genetic trait to yellow roses. I haven't heard about specific problems with white roses. When choosing, you always want to remember to pick a rose suitable to your growing zone, and provide enough winter protection for it.

Hope this helps.
