Picked 4 forth of July tomatoes today. Little bigger than a golf ball. lol Will let them ripen on the sink a day or two. This is my first year growing them.

My first time growing 'em from seed this year. Already ate a few cherry sized ones. YUM! It's exciting huh?

You're right about that. Ours seem sweeter this year than ever before, so maybe tomatoes are candy to us, let's say, more seasoned citizens.

Burpee forth of July has a really nice taste for a early tomato but i had to use 3 for a tomato sandwich. lol But mine had thick skins and it wasn't for the lack of rain.

Every year I get excited for the first tomatoes I get to pick. I really have to be patient to let then ripen enough but it is worth the wait! There is nothing like the first fresh tomato of the year straight from the garden.
