I posted this in another section on the forum but I think it would fit better here. I want to make sure that emergency people (emt, fire, etc) can easily find my house so I want to display our house number in a creative way that can be easily read. It will probably be placed in the corner flower bed or near it. Other people complain they cant find our house unless I tell them its on the corner. In an emergency I might not be able to mention that! I know I can do a rock with our house number or a small picket fence with a plaque. Any other ideas? I tried doing a search on google and didnt have much luck. Thanks. |

Not decorative, but ours are solar so they light up at night. They are mounted on our slate porch which makes it easy for all to see. You could incorporate the solor numbers into your design.~Andrea |

Thanks. That is probably a good idea. I had a solar panel light but it didn't work that well. What brand did you try? |

That looks really nice. I saw a hanging post up the street in someone's yard that had a few boards hanging down from it and on either side it had a house number. |

poeticpeony - That's an idea that could work. I could have one sign be the house number (stays permanent) and attach another sign underneath the house number (hanging) that I can change for holidays/season or something decorative. Then if I get bored with I could just change it. |
