How is your butterfly population this year? I am not seeing near as many. One or two swallowtails and some of the smaller varieties. I don't like this late frost thing in the spring. |

I have some big ones, mostly smaller ones so far. But I have more dragonflies than ever before! |

There have been different colors of dragon flies this year. Saw a pretty bluish one this week. There must be lots of bugs since all the rain we had. |

I have a large golden private bush in my front yard, and it had lots of butterflies around it in the spring when it blossomed out. I don't see so many butterflies in my backyard right now, but after all my zinnias bloom out, then I have a lot more usually. I've seen more bees than anything else, so far this year ! I finally started a butterfly bush this year, and I hope it will attract more butterflies eventually ! The butterfly bush is very tiny right now, but I was surprised that it bloomed out a little allready this year. My bee balm and purple coneflowers have attracted some butterflies, but the zinnias are the butterfly magnets in my yard ! mitzi |
