Hi everyone
I'm posting these pics to share a very rare flower with you. My husband received it in his email from a good friend.Enjoy, I sure did! It's called a Parrot Flower.

My sister sent me a email about the parrot plant. Isn't it an interesting looking plant. I had to investigate to see if was real because the flowers look exactly like parrots. It is indeed a very real plant, but it is endangered and cannot be exported. I forgot what country it is located in, however.

I think it comes from Thailand. The pictures took my breath away, I couldn't believe the resemblance to the real bird! It's gorgeous(sp?)

Impatiens psittacina, Parrot Flower is indeed a gem! Too bad we can't grow it. It is from northern Thailand.

I love your carnivorous plants! I tried to grow a Venus Fly Trap one time,,,,it died. Congratulations on your success!
