My jade plant used to be so nice. Lately the leaves(or whatever) suddenly grow down toward the dirt. Then they eventually fall off. I have tried not watering for a while and then watering more. What could be my problem? |

Hi there, if you could post a photo it would help. I don't know much about Jade plant. I think there is a forum on down the list where you could re post your question. Give it a look. |

Jade plants need very well draining soil and good bright light. I raise 7 differant varieties of Jade now. I water mine once a week, but I do not soak them I water evenly but sparingly, just enought to give it a nice drink without soaking the soil. For the soil i use a mix that i make up of 50% mulch bark, 25% good potting soil and 25% perilite. This will give you a very nice well draining soil. My Jades sit on a stand in front of my living room window and recieve several hours of sunlight a day. It sounds like your Jade needs more light and a consistant water schedule with good drainage.
