I like bees myself. Here is one photo I caught a few years ago. Thought it was inside the house. I took the photo from inside through the window.

Those are great bee pictures. I dont have as many bees as last year, but hopefully as summer progresses we will have more. Last year we had tons of them.

Did you know that in North America, bee pollination is valued at $15b annually to US agriculture and honey bees are responsible for pollinating more than 130 different crops. Did you also know that over 25% of bees have died off in the last 2 years. In the UK, 3 out of 27 species of bees have become completely extinct. We really do need to protect the bee population. They are an important part of our agriculture and way of life. There are many types of plants you can use in your garden to protect bees. Research it and I'm sure we can all make a difference.

Wow, that sounded like a commercial. Sorry, not trying to sell anything, just trying to help out a bit.

zmikers, I agree. not about the commercial thing but the bee population thing..lol
I have had several bees in my yard for years now. They are all over my lambs ear, liatris kobold and phlox *david* and this one dianthus plant. people seem so bothered by them but they are not a bother to me at all. I find them to be pleasurable and very beneficial.

**applauds** Nope, you got my vote! I'm so thankful my grandparents had the good sense to flood the yard with white clover. Last year we had a lot of bees. I've seen some this year, but not as many. Several years ago it would be months and no sight of them.
I'm also quite happy to see some red clover blooming out back. The bees love that!

I saw quite a few today on the catmint and blue basil. This picture is of a couple on the butterfly bush. Poe, I want clover but Wayne is so opposed to it. I like the way it looks.
