[size=14][font=Arial Narrow][font=Comic Sans MS]Guilt Trip, thanks for your encouraging words about planting from seed. I planted zinnias, larkspur and hollyhocks in my front entrance garden and am seeing the little seedlings coming up, not all, but a lot. I ordered Padron and Cubanelle pepper seeds on ebay, and just got 2 tiny packets of 20 seeds each in the mail today. Got to bite the bullet and just get out in the heat and plant those babies. Sure hate to waste them.............but think I will plant 2 or 3 in each little plastic pot and keep half of them to share. Why is font selection not working? |

I'd like to plant only seeds, too. They are so much cheaper. Don't know much about saving seeds except for flower seeds; they are very easy. |

I buy a lot of "reject" plants that the nurseries try to kill. They just take a little extra water and they usually look fabulous the next year. If I buy plants I try to buy local, the plants usually fair better. I do have a few select nurseries I will do mail order from. I do the reliable things by seed, like snapdragons and veggies. |
