Has any tried to make sweet tea using stevia? I've heard it is much sweeter than sugar and zero calories. But the "truvia" thats out now is so expensive! I've bought some stevia plants but not sure what to do with the leaves to use them for a sweetener.

I find it much easier and cheaper in the long run to just buy it off the store shelf.

I think stevia has a weird, gross, aftertaste. I guess truvia isn't supposed to have that aftertaste, but that means that it has been altered somehow, which means it's probably terrible for you like every other 0 calorie sweetener. Personal opinion, use sugar or honey, just less.
