They look like garlic or onion family to me |

Definitely Garlic or Onion scapes. It's the flower stalk. |

Garlic scapes, yepper. I took mine off a few weeks ago. I used some in pasta, and battered and deep-fried some. Mmmmmmm, garlic scapes are one of those things you only get once a year, and I look forward to them. If you grow garlic you have to take the flowers off before they open and make seeds - that keeps the energy going into the bulb, where you want it. |
