Well lets see ive found nematodes and I thought that i'd survive that however today I go to my garden and find that Ive got several squash that appear yellowish green some more freen than yellow with weird splotches After looking around I see that it may be a mosiac virus if this is true are the fruits edible? Do I destroy the plant from fear of transferring to the rest of my garden? HELP PLEASE it looks as if half of mysquash plants are producing these odd colored squash! |

If that is what you have, it is best to destroy the plant, because the virus will spread to other plants. What fruit you have now is edible. DO NOT compost. I had this last year, pulled up everything, even the mulch, and sprayed my garden soil with disenfectant (I used Lysol-the concentrate in the brown bottle is best) Wait a couple of days before replanting. |

Thank you so much I wondered if I would be able to replant in the same area> Ive been so upset cause they were doing great and then it seemed as if i got hit overnight. IDK if its me being paranoid but it looks like my whole section has been infected ( squash ) again thanks for your advice. |

I did replant in the same area, and my vegetables did come up, but did poorly. This year-no problem. |
