I spotted some glass (shiny!) in a tub marked a dollar at a yardsale up the street so of course I had to buy it. There's 2 sizes of beveled glass panes. 2 rectangles and 3 squares. I don't know if they're that old or not. They have the green cast along the edge and I think that's a tempered glass. Not sure though. They had a TON of sooty looking dirt on them and I'm still trying to get some of the caulking or paint off them. But I'm unsure what I want to do with them. I thought of framing them and hanging them in a window with a transparent flower on them, but I'm torn.
Anyone have any ideas? There was also a couple old car or truck mirrors in there that I haven't quite played around with yet.
Thanks!

Sorry no one responded to your post. You didn't say exactly the size of the glass. You mentioned a transparent flower. It doesn't have to be transparant. You can put dried flowers pressed between 2 layers of glass. Your local craft store should have lead, and you can run a bead around the outer edge to hold it together and solder 2 points on the top edges for hanging.
I have a piece that has a stained glass, bird on a branch attached to the front.
Or you can etch some design into it and hang it. This again can be a stencil or anything, a local craft store will carry supplies for etching.
Keep us posted I'd love to see your finished project. Tammy

Thank you for the ideas. The pieces are 5 inch squares and 5x8 inch rectangles. Is your design a back to back piece or is it attached on a single pane?
