I want to add a Mimosa Tree to our property. When should we plant it and how far from the house (roots) should it be?

I had to ask my Hubby about this one. I don't judge distances very well. He said at least 25 feet away from the house. We have 8 mimosa trees and we just love them (and the hummers do, too).

Witt I am so jealous I can't seem to get them to grow here. I tried many times. My friend had a tree, she gave me ones that were 6 inches to 2 feet. No luck.
They have the prettiest pink flowers.

I suppose they can't survive in your zone.

But I see them in other peoples yards. Not many. then again I live in a valley. Mountains on bith sides. When the weather man said 95% of thepeople missed getting frost one morning I was in the 5%. So you could be right. I'm not in the right zone/area. thanks Tammy
