Wild (woodland) strawberries are my favourite thing in the world ! In my garden they seem to have boomed as a groundcover, and I have looots of fruit this year. But I read that you have to divide the patch every 3 years or so to keep it vigorous. What does "dividing" mean in the case of strawberries ? Should I thin the patch by uprooting half of the plants ? Or should I mow it down like grass ? And when should I do it ? Should I mulch it ? Thanks in advance ! |

Hi sorry I didn't see this earlier, but yes thin by digging and separating the plants not by mowing. floridagirl, |
