My husband who does lawn work saw this plant and had me come over where he was working and take a picture. He would like to have this plant but I do not know what to ask for at a garden store. We live in Florida but I do not know if it is a native plant. Thank you for all help...Liz Attachments: ![]() ![]() |

The genus (allium) has 1250 species according to wikipedia! Didn't know there are so many different kinds. Yours is beautiful.

I was going to say Scadoxus multiflorus...I don't know if Haemanthus is the current name or not. http://www.fluwel.nl/images/Scadoxus%20multiflorus %20600x600.jpg |

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will also tell the owner of the plant because she did not know what she had either. I will and now try and find one for myself here in Florida. Thanks so much..Liz |
