You know ~ I really want to do this ..... but, in order to write and get paid you have to sign up for PayPal ~ and then they want your SS number. I am kinda iffy about that. What say you?

Just don't do it!! It's not fun - at all - having your identity stolen/used by others.

I have had a PayPal account for years and never have had a problem, KeyWee, if that helps. I also know others with PayPal accounts and they have never had problems either.

I've had Paypal since 2000 or 2001, never had problems. Only thing I had to watch out for is imposter emails claiming to be from Paypal. BUT, i always forwarded the emails to paypal. they replied right away, telling me the emails are NOT from paypal or they are. Only one out of many emails was from them. That is the only thing I watch out for. But then again I guess we have to watch out for all emails we get.

So in order to sign up for your PayPal accounts, did YOU have to give them your SS number? My husband is saying I can't do it if they ask for that information.
Dang.

I dont think I gave them my SS number.

Best thing to do is visit their website, I think.

Got the following from Paypal's site. More info. at site.

EDIT: They always "tell" us to use http://www.paypal.com instead of using all other links people give you ...for your protection.
