I bought 4 impatien plants from the local nursery. Can I pot them in my patio which gets direct sun from 10.30 am onwards?I promise I';ll water them everyday if need be

I read on the net that the impatiens need shade.. if thats true, should I rather make them an indoor plant (place on my bathroom window which gets lot of indirect sunlight)??

Impatiens like shade and a lot of water. I have mine in baskets on the covered porch and water every other day. I think all that sun may be too much for them, even though you water well. Do you have a spot with only early morning or late afternoon sun? That would be best.
Never tried them as a houseplant. A friend of mine grew them all along the edges of her fountain with their feet partially in the water ~ they loved that!

I read online that they are excellent indoor plants

Read the last post on this thread.

I think I'll start them indoors and expose them to sunlight for a few hrs over weekends and see how they do.
