We live in the city and have a small (8x12) patio. I have a very large container that I was hoping to plant a small tree in (note: I am not very savvy about gardening!). I was hoping to plant an olive tree but wondering if that is a good choice. The area gets intense afternoon sun in the summer (both south and west facing) although we are in Seattle so it is certainly not sunny year round. Here are my questions: 1. Is an olive tree a good choice? 2. If so is there a special type I should get for a container? 3. If not is there another option for a small tree? 4. Any general advice for trees in containers? Thank you! |

I dont think it would be a bad choice for a container tree. Seeing as they are a small tree growing at the most to 15 meters (rarely). I would say that you could try. They are a warm climate tree usually growing in Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean. There isnt really a certain kind of container to get, except a big one. Ryan |
