Curious, I have read in different places about using fish fertilizer. My daughter and son in law have a small fish pond he built by the house and while I was there a few days ago he had to clean the filter. It's an above ground filter that has a thing that pops up when it needs cleaned, about every 2 or 3 days I guess. He hooks a hose on to it, reroutes the water and it flushes all the stuff out. He just pumps it onto the flower beds and they are going crazy. Does any one know if I could use this in my veggie garden. I told him I'd bring my empty milk jugs over and fill them. Thanks for the imput.

I use the water from when I clean the fish tanks in my gardens, I noticed a big difference in using that as opposed to a commercial food. My strawberries especially. The roses love it also. I am going to use some in the veggies this year....

I buy a bottle every year of alaska brand fish emulsion from either Home Depot or walmart. Our walmart here didn't sell it this year. Diluted with water I add it to every thing, vegetable plants, flowers and trees. It does have an odor so be ready for that but it works good. If I have a dead goldfish now and then I put that on then ground near the roots. Sounds awful but it works.
