Omgoodness! Will this become a sphinx moth? humming bird moth? Not even sure where to post this subject! It's eating my primrose! Terrible pictures, I'll try to get better shots of it tomorrow. Too dark now. I got close to it, it stopped eating. When i got real close (tried to move leaves to get better pictures) it curled up and covered its face only. Sooooooo cute!

They will totally devour a plant quickly. Hope you have extras! (plants) |

Primrose come back every year. They are like weed here on our property, every year there is more. I'll let the little buggar eat his fill unless it/they start eating up my other plants of course.

Yesterday it flew into a spider web (weird spider, hope to get its picture someday). Hubby helped it out. This morning we saw the moth sitting on hubby's working table, it couldn't move. If you look close the left leg (kind of looks like a birds leg) is still wrapped in a small piece of web. Hubby took a lot of the web off and then I took some off. I went inside to get a small scissor to cut the remaining web which was pulling its leg when I tried to take it off. When I got back the little buggar did a wet dog shake then flew away!

Those are the moths that look like a Stealth Bomber! So streamlined! |

I always thought it looked like a stealth bomber also. It's beautiful! It looks a lot like it belongs in the Sphingidae family but can't tell which species. Not even sure if it is in the same family.
